"Captains log, stardate 79175.2. It's been a day since we jumped toward the Gorn Home World. The shop hasn't been out of dry dock too long but I loom forward to seeing how f
she fairs. I've gotten a First Officer, a Vulcan. Didn't expect that would be the case but I feel he will keep me grounded when my emotion clouds logical approach. My Klingon tactical chief has so far seemed like he doesn't see us humans as much. I aim to prove him wrong, that we are stronger than we appear.

Strength lies in not only physical prowess but strength of character and spirit. The body is easily broken and fragile but my spirit will weather the storms. I still wonder however what er could find out here among this ocean of stars. But I've always been a romantic, even a hopeless one. I believe in fairytale and legends. That they may ignite the passionate fire in these new eyes. Even if I may nor find love, nor my happily ever after? I will have been honored to have sailed among my crew, my friends, my family.
