Captain's personal Log supplemental,

Since we have been on our first mission, I didn't realize what was going to have happen. Only to realize that we did our duty and our job as Starfleet officers on this first mission Starfleet has given us. It made it simple and easy for some of us to actually do something like this. Although, my wife on the other hand, she was on the Halo keeping the vessel in tact while we went on the away mission. She didn't even want me to go on this away mission. Although, we made it back in one piece and didn't have to worry about much. Quinn doesn't have to worry about much since I'm home in one piece.
